Quiet time is so important in our lives. God has called us into a fellowship with Him (1 Cor 1:9 NKJV). The term “fellowship” means to “share our lives in common,” to “become friends” of the most intimate sort. How do we do that? By spending time daily with Him. There are three reasons it’s important to have a quiet time each day.

It creates a habit.
The longer that you do something, the stronger that muscle memory will be. It becomes a habit, making it an automatic part of your day. It takes roughly 28 days to create a solid habit. If you have struggled with making quiet time a habit in your life, you are not alone. Make a commitment for the whole month to spend time in God’s Word and spend time every day in prayer.
It sets the tone of your day.
A daily quiet time sets up your day before you let the external influences get to you. Success starts from within. You must be aware of the limitations and stories you have told yourself. Don’t live in scarcity, lack, limitations. Don’t let them take up space and block you. You get to rewrite new ones, choosing today to create a new narrative. Create the narrative before the day wears you down. As a result, you can face your day full of gratitude. This reaction to circumstances can make all the difference.
It will strengthen your faith.
You are digging into scripture and hiding the word in your heart (Psalms 119:11). The primary purpose of reading the Bible is not to know the Bible but to know God. — James Merritt. We are in a spiritual battle, and we must be prepared to fight and that happens with our sword- the Word of God. Hebrews 4:12 tells us “For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword.” We have to give an answer for our belief any time we are questioned. How can you be always prepared to answer questions? By arming yourself with scriptures. There are bumps and potholes in this journey filled with pitfalls, distractions (surely the worst enemy of the committed Christian), and struggles. How better to combat these land mines than with the protection of God? If we have a close relationship with God, scriptures hidden in our hearts, then we will be protected by the armor of God.
