Top Three Ways to Strengthen Your Faith and Why It’s Necessary pt. 1

I have built my entire life on my relationship with Christ.  My relationship is woven into every area of my life.  A strong foundation, a cornerstone of faith is vital in life.  How can you strengthen your relationship with Christ? There 3 ways that are commanded in the Bible.

1. Daily Reading of the Bible

The primary purpose of reading the Bible is not to know the Bible but to know God. — James Merritt.  Matthew 4:4 “But he answered and said, ” It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.”  We are in a spiritual battle, and we must be prepared to fight. We are called to always be prepared to give an answer when asked the reason for the hope that we have.   How can we be prepared?  By arming ourselves with scriptures.

2. Pray Continually

“If you look at the world, you’ll be distressed. If you look within, you will be depressed. If you look at God you’ll be at rest.” ― Corrie Ten Boom. It is so important to continually nurture your relationship with God with prayer.  When we have something to share, we run to our best friend.  They get to hear about it all.   God wants to be included in everything, big and small.  There was a time when I was afraid that God would think I was being silly when I would ask him to help me find my keys.  However, I believe wholeheartedly He wants to hear about it all.  I have also noticed that when I pray to God even about the small things, then my mind is focused on thinking about things that are found in Philippians 4:8.

3 Fellowship with others

It is so important to physically gather with other believers.  I know that we are to lead a life of worship that encompasses all areas of life.  However, there is nothing sweeter than worshiping together with fellow Brothers & Sisters in Christ.  If your relationship could be strengthened, implement these three things in your life.  My relationship with Christ is my lifeline.   It has sustained me through so many ups and downs in my life which I will share in my next blog.

I am so excited to share a devotional that I have created to help strengthen our faith.  In my free Facebook group, you will find a challenge where I lock arms with you as we go through the devotional.  You can find my group here
